A model of the world
"Who are we" We are people who believe strongly in God and think things through very well. They believe in god but they don't think he will solve their problems. They use reason to solve their problems. Rationalism' is the view that reason aided by observation should serve preeminently as the ground of all of our convictionsationalism' is the view that reason aided by observation should serve preeminently as the ground of all of our convictions.


Explanation
"Why is the world the way it is? Where does it all come from? Where do we come from?"
They believed that they came form god. God created the universe but does not interfere with it's workings. The world operates according to God's rules, and through the use of reason they can discover those rules.

Futurology
"Where are we going to?" Use reason to make the world a better place.
- We have two places we could go. Heaven or hell. Live your life right you'll make it to heaven...if not you'll go to hell!!

Values
"What is good and what is evil?"
They valued reason. They don't listen to their imagination.
-The world and everything else is good. The people on earth and some of the things we do are evi!
Action
"How should we act?" - morality, application of values
-We should be respectful. We should care about ourselves and care about others others and living a good life! Which means make it to heaven!
Knowledge
"What is true and what is false?" - how do we know?
People arrive at the truth by reason rather than by relying on the authority of the past, on religion, or on non-rational mental processes like intuition.
